In 2020 Future Histories reached out to members of the Black Lives Matter movement in London to raise awareness of the importance of archiving the movement. At the same time a Covid-19 emergency funding was granted by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to rescue Future Histories' online resources from technological obsolescence.
